Caribbean Poker Classic Cruise

Explore some of the Caribbean's most exotic locations on the world's largest and most innovative cruise ship, whilst competing to become the Caribbean Poker Classic champion of 2008!

Experience a full week of luxury on board the Freedom of the Seas, with complimentary meals, 24-hour room service and the crème de la crème of accommodation that offers spectacular view out to sea, a small sitting area and private balcony.

Whenever the ship is sailing, the Poker Room will be open for you to play your way to the final table on the 22nd November. For those of you who want to experience something a little more energetic, why not try ice-skating, boxing or Yoga.

How Do I Get There?

There are two routes to take to experience life on board the Freedom of the Seas, depending on whether you choose to go for the $10,000 CPC Main Package or the $5,000 CPC Lite Package.

Satellites to the Caribbean Poker Cruise start in May 2008 and run through until October 2008. MPP satellites start at just 5 MPPs and daily satellites for the Lite package are available for as little as $5.

CPC Package Details

Both packages include seven nights on board the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship, staying in either a Deluxe or Superior stateroom with views of the ocean and a private balcony.

All meals are complimentary and you can take advantage of room service 24 hours a day.

The ship offers some fantastic activities which you can enjoy, including a water park, rock climbing wall, ice-skating rink, and for those after something more relaxing, take in the fresh air with a stroll down the promenade or treat yourself to something special from the four story shopping mall.

On top of this, CPC Main Package winners will be entered into the Main Event courtesy of William Hill, be given an extra $2300 in tournament vouchers and $2000 cash for travel and expenses. CPC Lite Package winners will be given $2000 in cash for travel and holiday expenses.

Plus, all qualifiers will receive an invitation to a casual Welcome Reception from 8:00pm – 10:00pm on the 16th November and a Farewell Cocktail Reception on the 22nd November where players can chat about the week’s events over a Miami Vice or a glass of wine.

The ship will set sail from the Port of Miami at 4:30pm on the 16th November. All winners are advised to be at the port well in advance of departure.

Packages

What happens when I win a package?

Your player account will be funded $2000 cash for travel and expenses, and you will receive an email with details on how to register online for the cruise.

What if I win more than one package?

If you win more than one package, you will receive the full cash value.

What if I win a package but am unable to go?

You may transfer your package to another player. A cash refund for the cruise and buy-ins will not be awarded.

What if I purchase a cabin and then win?

If you purchase a cabin and then win a package, your player account will be funded the $3000 value of the cabin.

Travel/Cruise

Can I purchase a cabin?

You can purchase your deluxe stateroom for two with complimentary meal plan from your player account, or through our travel agency. For more information, please contact info@caribbeanpokerclassic.com.

Can I bring an extra guest on the cruise?

Your package includes a deluxe stateroom for two with two twin beds (can convert into queen-size). You may request a stateroom for up to four passengers and pay the additional cost of $650 per person including complimentary meal plan, taxes, surcharges and gratuities.

Can I make this a family holiday and bring my children?

The Freedom of the Seas has excellent facilities for children. Children may share your stateroom or you may purchase an additional stateroom if you require more space. Minimum age for children is 6 months old.

What if I am traveling alone?

Your package is for two. A cash refund will not be awarded if you choose not bring a guest.

Can I upgrade my cabin?

Your package includes a deluxe stateroom; upgrades are not available in our group booking.

Are meals and drinks included?

Your package includes a complimentary meal plan for two at any of the onboard restaurants. Alcoholic beverages in restaurants and bars are for purchase for passengers 21 years of age or older.

Is Internet access available?

Wireless Internet access is available in your stateroom and throughout the ship. Choose from several pre-paid packages available onboard.

Can you arrange my travel?

You may purchase your airfare directly from our travel agent in our online registration system.

Can you arrange my hotel stay in Miami?

You may purchase your overnight hotel stay directly from our travel agent in our online registration system.

Do I require a passport?

Do I require a travel visa?

Contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your sailing itinerary or the visa service of your choice for specific visa requirements, information, forms and fees for your nationality. Tournament

When will the poker room be open?

The poker room is open whenever you are sailing. The poker room will be closed whilst in port and during shore excursions.

How can I buy-in to the Main Event?

You can pre-purchase the $2500+$200 buy-in from your player account, or you can buy-in directly in the poker room, paying in cash.

How can I buy-in to side events?

You can pre-purchase buy-ins to side events with funds from your player account, or you can buy-in directly in the poker room, paying in cash.

Can I withdraw funds from my player account?

We strongly advise that you pre-register for tournaments by purchasing buy-ins in advance with funds from your player account, and that you bring sufficient cash for any ring games you wish to play. If you pre-register for tournaments in advance, and then elect not to play, these funds will be returned to your player account. Onboard the cruise, you can withdraw funds from your player account for tournament buy-ins, dependent on Internet connection.

Is there a dress code at the event?

We encourage you to wear your branded clothing from the poker site you won your package on.

Can anyone play?

This is a closed event. Onboard the ship, the Poker Room is open only to players (and their guests) who either qualified online or who bought their cruise package directly. Other cruise passengers are not allowed entry to the Poker Room. You must be 18 years of age or older.

1. The Caribbean Poker Classic™ prize package ("Package") consists of a stateroom for two aboard the Royal Caribbean International® Freedom of the SeasSM with complimentary meal plan for two, $2,500 buy-in to the Main Event, $2,300 in tournament vouchers, and $2,000 cash for travel and expenses.
2. The Caribbean Poker Classic™ Lite prize package ("Lite Package") consists of a stateroom for two aboard the Royal Caribbean International® Freedom of the SeasSM with complimentary meal plan for two, and $2,000 cash for travel and expenses.
3. Persons must qualify for the Caribbean Poker Classic™ by winning a Package (a "Winner") or may buy a seat in the Main Event (a "Participant").
4. A person must be a minimum of 18 years of age to participate in the Caribbean Poker Classic™ and will be required to produce proof of age (passport or other valid picture ID).
5. The first Package won is non-transferable. Should a Winner win more than one Package, he/she may transfer that Package to any registered player. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent reserve the right to amend the tournament rules or these Terms and Conditions at any time.
6. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent reserve the right to modify, alter, discontinue or terminate a promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever without notice to end users, using reasonable efforts to provide such notice in advance.
7. In the event of holiday cancellation or unavailability for whatever reason, cash equivalent may be awarded to the winners.
8. Any Winner has the right not to participate. In this case, there is no cash alternative and William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent may pick the runner-up as the replacement.
9. Winners will be required to wear William Hill Poker branded clothing at the main event whenever they are playing, subject to event permissions.
10. Winners and Participants must agree to all reasonable publicity of their personality, including betting markets around the event, television media interviews, press releases and website promotions. Event reports will also feature the name and alias of the Winner and Participant. No further consideration shall be payable for a Winner's and Participant's agreement to the foregoing.
11. Winners will not be reimbursed for stateroom arrangements made outside of the available group accommodation.
12. Participants who buy into the event are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements.
13. Participants and Winners are responsible for their own travel insurance.
14. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent are not responsible for loss or damage to persons or property in transit to, during, and in transit from the event.
15. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent accept no responsibility whatsoever for system or connection problems that might affect any end user during any of these promotions, such as a fold/timeout.
16. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent and their affiliates and subsidiaries, or any of their employees, officers or directors shall not be liable for any damages howsoever arising as a result of a Participant's or Winner's participation in the Caribbean Poker Classic™ or any such modification, alteration, discontinuance or termination of any tournament, and any such liability shall be borne solely and exclusively by the Participant or Winner, as the case may be.
17. During the event, strict rules regarding a Participant's or Winner's behaviour will be enforced. These may include penalties, up to and including disqualification, for foul language, abuse of dealers, players or any other person during the event, or any other behaviour that William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent, in their sole judgment, believe to be detrimental to the conduct of the event.
18. Unless otherwise indicated, each promotion is available only once per end user. The identity of an end user will be determined on the basis of all or any combination of the following: name, mailing address, e-mail address, IP address, credit/charge card number, computer, and any other forms of identification which may be required. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent may, in their sole discretion, limit the eligibility of end users or of any one end user to participate in promotions, and to restrict the eligibility of any group or category of end users to participate in promotions.
19. William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent reserve the right to review transaction records and logs, from time to time, for any reason whatsoever. If, upon such review, it appears that end users or any one or combination of them are participating in strategies which William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent in their sole discretion deem to be abusive, then William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent reserve the right to revoke the entitlement of such end user(s) to the promotion.
20. In case of any disputes regarding any Terms or Conditions of the Caribbean Poker Classic™, the decision of William Hill Poker and/or its authorised agent is final.
